Sharing login between different domains

My company (companyA) has bought companyB.
The website of companyA is www.companyA.com and comanyB's website is www.comanyb.c
omyou will need to setup a shared server that both use to validate logins. the
users will still have to login to each site, as you cannot share a cookie
between domain names.
