Shopping cart temprory table in dataset

I wan't to make a shopping cart like commerce starter kit but who's temprory table[Items before checkout] should be placed in dataset.
[i.e I will create a dataset then I will create a Datatable,Five Datacolumn,then add those datacolumn into datatable then add this table to dataset.]
This dataset should be placed in the session.
After the check out it will be dump in the database table.
Is there any sample application like my scenario.If there then please mention the link for downloading.here is the link, it show in VB.
